About the Role
Ensure the functional safety of autonomous vehicle systems by developing and implementing rigorous safety standards, conducting hazard analysis, and defining validation processes. This role is critical for the safe deployment of AI-driven autonomous technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in safety analyses (HARA, FMEA, FTA) for autonomous systems.
- Define safety requirements and develop safety concepts in accordance with standards (e.g., ISO 26262, SOTIF).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure safety is designed into the system.
- Develop and review safety validation and verification plans.
- Promote a strong safety culture within the organization.
Requirements
- Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508) in automotive or aerospace.
- Background in system safety engineering and risk assessment.
- Understanding of autonomous vehicle architecture and components.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Qualifications
Experience with safety of the intended functionality (SOTIF), cybersecurity for safety, or AI safety.
