- We’re looking for an energetic, motivated, and articulate team player to join the growing DeepL Sales team as a Business Development Representative (Korean Market). This role will focus primarily on Korea as a primary region, with Japan as a secondary region. The ideal candidate will bring strong outbound sales skills, a deep understanding of Korean business culture and B2B market practices, and the ability to engage with prospects across Korea and Japan. Qualified candidates should be self-starters with a proven track record of success, excited about SaaS and language technology, and motivated to join a fast-paced, global tech scale-up.
Responsibilities
- Create a fantastic first impression to prospects and customers while building a pipeline for DeepL Account Executives
- Lead outbound prospecting efforts, leveraging a multi-channel approach to connect with leads in Korea (primary market) and Japan (secondary market)
- Build curiosity and excitement on the prospects’ side to evaluate DeepL’s B2B offerings
- Organize and categorize sales lead information in Salesforce
- Research accounts and build a hypothesis on challenges, connecting them to DeepL solutions
- Collaborate with the wider APJ sales team to share learnings and continuously improve outreach strategies
- Achieve or exceed monthly quotas of activities and qualified opportunities
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture and bring energy to a fast-growing environment
Requirements
- Language Requirements: Korean native, Japanese business, English business or communicational
- Deep understanding of Korean business culture and Korean B2B market
- Strong outbound motion with proven ability to engage decision-makers and build pipeline
- Active listener with the ability to gather customer requirements and connect them to DeepL’s solution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across Korean, Japanese, and English
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Passion for developing a career in technology sales
