About the Role
NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Silicon Test Engineer to join our Product and Test Engineering team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of bringing up and validating our cutting-edge GPUs and SoCs from the very first silicon. Your responsibilities will include developing and debugging test programs for automatic test equipment (ATE), performing characterization and debug on new silicon, and collaborating with design, DFT, and product engineering teams to ensure high-quality, high-yield products. You will be instrumental in identifying and resolving silicon functional and performance issues, driving improvements in test coverage and manufacturing efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex semiconductor devices and contribute directly to the successful launch of NVIDIA's groundbreaking products that power AI, data centers, gaming, and professional visualization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and debug ATE test programs for GPUs and SoCs
- Perform silicon characterization and bring-up on new designs
- Analyze test data to identify and resolve silicon issues
- Collaborate with design, DFT, and product engineering teams
- Drive improvements in test coverage, yield, and manufacturing efficiency
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in silicon test and characterization
- Expertise in ATE programming (e.g., Teradyne UltraFLEX, Advantest 93K)
- Strong knowledge of digital and mixed-signal test methodologies
- Experience with silicon debug and failure analysis techniques
Qualifications
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl)
- Knowledge of DFT concepts (scan, MBIST, JTAG)
- Experience with statistical data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Excel)
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes
