IT Systems Administrator (Serbia)

About the Role

Perplexity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team, revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. As an early hire in this crucial role, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our technology infrastructure from the ground up. This role is based in-person at our Belgrade, Serbia office. You will be responsible for procuring, maintaining, and administering computers, networking equipment, and office technology, managing and optimizing corporate software systems, overseeing and enhancing MDM infrastructure, deploying robust security policies, and providing technical support. The role also involves leading IT projects and leveraging automation to scale IT capabilities, ensuring a secure and efficient IT environment for Perplexity.

Responsibilities

• Procure, maintain, and administer computers, networking equipment, and office technology
• Manage and optimize corporate software systems, including automations and integrations
• Oversee and enhance the Mobile Device Management (MDM) infrastructure
• Deploy and enforce robust security policies and procedures
• Provision and manage user accounts and permissions
• Provide prompt, effective technical support and troubleshoot complex issues
• Lead IT projects focused on endpoint management, security enhancements, and infrastructure improvements
• Leverage automation and build tools to scale IT capabilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on IT systems administration experience
• Strong proficiency in Okta, macOS & GSuite environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, endpoint protection, compliance and encryption
• Proven track record in managing IT projects on their own, including system upgrades and new implementations
• Strives for automation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
