About the Role
Harvey’s Legal Engineer – Product Specialists are experienced lawyers from top-tier law firms and in-house legal teams who leverage their legal expertise to help customers seamlessly integrate Harvey into their daily workflows—driving adoption, increasing utilization, and supporting long-term expansion and renewal across LATAM. Legal Engineer – Product Specialists collaborate closely with Harvey’s Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to drive all facets of the post-sales strategy. Based in Mexico City, this role serves as a key member of Harvey’s LATAM presence. Legal Engineer – Product Specialists develop consultative relationships with law firm partners, associates, innovation teams, and in-house counsel at leading corporates, financial institutions, and private equity firms throughout the region—acting as trusted advisors on how Harvey’s AI solutions can enhance legal effectiveness, efficiency, and consistency across civil-law jurisdictions. Legal Engineer – Product Specialists draw on their legal training and practice experience to ask thoughtful questions, uncover adoption barriers, and develop tailored strategies that build credibility with customers. They partner with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to communicate Harvey’s value through a mix of large group sessions, small workshops, tailored product demonstrations, and one-on-one conversations. They also bring critical regional insights back to Harvey’s Product and Go-To-Market teams to inform platform development and strategy. The company is transforming how legal and professional services operate by combining frontier agentic AI, an enterprise-grade platform, and deep domain expertise.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with law firm and in-house legal teams across Mexico and LATAM by understanding their unique workflows and offering tailored guidance on how to incorporate Harvey’s AI into daily legal practice.
- Design and lead onboarding sessions, product demonstrations, training workshops, and ongoing enablement programs that drive adoption and maximize the value of Harvey’s platform.
- Act as a strategic partner to Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to identify expansion opportunities and support renewal efforts through demonstrated impact, engagement, and measurable adoption.
- Proactively surface obstacles to adoption by engaging users with thoughtful questions and legal empathy, then develop and implement strategies to overcome them.
- Translate regional legal practice needs into actionable feedback for Harvey’s product and engineering teams, helping to shape product development through a LATAM lawyer’s lens.
- Monitor usage trends and identify at-risk accounts or untapped opportunities, working cross-functionally to re-engage users and showcase new or underutilized capabilities.
- Contribute to customer-facing content (e.g., training materials, use case guides, and FAQs) tailored to LATAM legal workflows, practice areas, and regulatory environments.
- Provide competitive and market intelligence on the LATAM legal and legal-tech landscape to inform sales strategy, positioning, and go-to-market planning.
- Support and strengthen Harvey’s credibility and brand across LATAM by delivering high-quality, domain-specific guidance that meets the expectations of leading legal professionals.
Requirements
- Based in Mexico City and eligible to work in Mexico.
- Mexican practising certificate or equivalent civil-law legal qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience practicing law at a top-tier law firm or in-house at a major corporate or financial institution, preferably with a corporate, regulatory, or disputes focus.
- Full professional fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to engage credibly and persuasively with legal professionals across LATAM and global markets.
- Strong understanding of LATAM legal processes and challenges faced by law firms and in-house legal teams.
- Executive presence and engagement skills, with an ability to establish strong relationships with key decision makers and build credibility at all levels.
- Outstanding presentation skills to both legal and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or through structured presentations and product demos.
- Curiosity about AI’s potential to transform the legal industry and legal service delivery.
Qualifications
Sales or customer-facing experience—including law firm business development, secondments, or direct client relationship management—is a plus.
