About the Role
Sanctuary AI is a leader in building AI-based control systems for humanoid robots. This internship focuses on Machine Learning research, specifically in Reinforcement Learning (RL) and Imitation Learning (IL). The intern will contribute to advancing techniques for training embodied AI agents, both in simulation and real-world scenarios. This role is crucial for developing the foundational intelligence that enables general-purpose robots to perform complex tasks with human-like dexterity and understanding. The work will involve exploring various simulation engines and applying cutting-edge ML methodologies to robotic control and manipulation.
Responsibilities
- Training RL/IL policies with embodied AI agents in simulation or reality.
- Working with simulation engines like Gazebo, Webots, Isaac Sim, Isaac Gym, Mujoco, PyBullet.
Requirements
- Experience training RL/IL policies with an embodied AI agent, either in simulation or reality.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Able to work onsite or willing to relocate to Vancouver offices.

Qualifications
Familiarity with various simulation engines (Gazebo, Webots, Isaac Sim, Isaac Gym, Mujoco, PyBullet, or others).
