About the Role
NVIDIA is looking for a motivated Intern Software Engineer to join our Platform team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work on the foundational software that enables NVIDIA's advanced hardware. You will contribute to various aspects of the platform software stack, which may include developing and optimizing firmware, enhancing operating system components, building system-level tools, or improving the overall performance and reliability of our platforms. Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and optimization of platform software (firmware, OS components)
- Contribute to building system-level tools and utilities
- Help with performance analysis and debugging of platform software
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions
- Learn about hardware-software co-design principles
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
- Familiarity with operating systems concepts or embedded systems
- Experience with Linux development environment
Qualifications
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl)
- Exposure to device driver development
- Familiarity with CPU/GPU architectures
- Previous coursework or projects in low-level software
