About the Role
NVIDIA is looking for a Software Engineer to join our GPU Driver team, where you will play a key role in developing and enhancing the software that drives our world-leading GPUs. In this position, you will work on various aspects of the GPU driver stack, including kernel-mode drivers, user-mode components, and performance optimizations for graphics, compute, and AI workloads. You will collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up new features, with operating system teams for seamless integration, and with application developers to ensure optimal performance for a diverse range of applications. Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and optimize GPU driver components
- Implement new features for graphics, compute, and AI acceleration
- Work on kernel-mode and user-mode driver architectures
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams for feature integration and bring-up
- Contribute to performance analysis and fine-tuning
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in software development, preferably in low-level or driver development
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming
- Strong understanding of operating systems and computer architecture fundamentals
- Experience with debugging methodologies
Qualifications
- Experience with GPU programming (e.g., CUDA, OpenGL, DirectX)
- Familiarity with parallel processing and heterogeneous computing
- Knowledge of graphics or AI pipeline concepts
- Experience with Linux, Windows, or other operating systems
