About the Role

This role is equal parts Engineering, Product, and Go-to-Market (GTM), making it ideal for a former founder or an aspiring one. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating real-world customer pain points into tangible product improvements and hands-on implementations, ensuring measurable impact. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end ownership of strategic customer implementations. Furthermore, this position plays a crucial part in enhancing the operational efficiency of both GTM and Engineering Product Development (EPD) teams by building internal tools and processes. The team at Cognition is an applied AI lab focused on building end-to-end software agents like Devin, the first AI software engineer, and Windsurf, an AI-native IDE. This vision revolves around creating collaborative AI teammates that free engineers to tackle more complex and interesting problems, ultimately enabling teams to pursue more ambitious goals. The team is described as small and talent-dense, comprised of individuals with world-class competitive programming skills, former founders, and leaders from leading AI companies.

Responsibilities

• Owning end-to-end implementations with our most strategic customers.
• Understanding customer pain points deeply and translating them into solutions and product improvements.
• Being a force multiplier by building internal tools and processes that improve the operational efficiency of GTM and EPD.

Requirements

• Strong engineering foundation (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline).
• 2+ years of experience or equivalent startup/founder exposure.
